It started as a grass roots movement last month and volunteers got the ball rolling to get this parade off the drawing board in the streets. Saint Louis may be the first to put on an Iraqi War Veterans Parade to thank service men and women and their families for their sacrafices and welcome them home, but it surely won’t be the last. A non-profit organization called the Welcome Home Foundation has been formed to help boilerplate the concept around the country. The parade will start at noon on Saturday, January 28th, at Kiener Plaza in front of the historic Old Courthouse in Saint Louis and head west to end at Saint Louis Union Station.
